Mom’s Stress and Oleia Topical Oil

Mom’s Stress and Oleia Topical Oil

Mothers are innate to be caring. It is one trait that is also born of a mother when she gives birth to child. It is an automatic attribute to commit to nurture another human being from infancy to adulthood (and beyond!) and it comes with an additional load of stress, and the stress that comes with motherhood can be significant.

During an event last year where around three hundred moms participated, I met a familiar face. She’s a friend of a friend. I was surprised that she has a two-year old now! How time flies! We had a little chit chat and I learned that aside from being a mom, she also runs a business and blogs as well. Being a mom herself, she is innately caring and loving, And yes, “mom stress” is real. She said that she’s one of those moms who became prone to neck aches and headaches after their kid turned two. Haha! Knowing this, l asked her to try Oleia Topical oil, as it helps relieves stress that comes with mommyhood. This is what she said about the miracle oil:

“My problem areas are my feet (I’ve had trouble with foot pain for over a month), my nape (stress) and head (stress). For over a week I have been applying Oleia Oil (the lavender one) to my feet and nape and temples. On days when I remember to do so, the pain disappears after an hour in my observation, especially the stress pains. On days when I neglect to apply the oil, especially to my feet, I have trouble standing. Another amazing side benny was my asthma attacks started to lessen since I have been using Oleia. This is not a miracle cure by any chance but a very scientific approach. The oils combat inflammation which makes the pain disappear. I have been a fan of essential oils for a while now and have played around with different blends for pain relief but I like how Oleia Oil is ready-made for days when I am too tired to blend on my own.

I am sure most of you have go-to lotions and potions for pain but I recommend trying Oleia especially since it is safe for breastfeeding moms and children. They have had it tested. I am happy I found out about Oleia and will surely keep stock on hand for me and my family.”

Stress is on the rise for moms as we manage almost everything 24/7. Caring for ourselves is one way to care for our loved ones. And Oleia Topical oil is always available to help ease our stress and pain away– fast and in a natural way.

Can your Phone Determine your Personality?

Smartphones rule the world. In fact, almost half of the world owns a smart phone and most of us use it in our everyday lives. From streaming and even when shopping, smart phones has become a part of our daily lives.

While there are a lot of brands to choose from, they also have different personalities. If you don’t believe me, watch this:

If phones have different personalities, can it be that our phone selections can determine what type of person we are as well?
Several studies have been done to prove this and while it does not represent the world, it does give us an idea of what type of people owns a version of a smartphone. The research drilled down not on the brands like Samsung, Oppo, iPhone and the others but in their operating system – Apple iOs versus Android.
This study was a collaboration between the Lincoln University, Lancaster and Hertfordshire which are all in the United Kingdom. Here are some of the interesting facts that you may want to know about:

Interesting facts about iPhone users:

iPhone users are more than likely to be female

iPhone users are more perceived as extroverts

iPhone users tend to place more importance on their status wherein having an iPhone means owning a high status since an iPhone is perceived to be a “high – status” phone.

iPhone users are more known to develop romantic affairs within the workplace.

Interesting facts about Android users:

Android users are less interested in social status

Android users, compared to iPhone users are more humble and honest

Android users are more likely to have sex on the first date and visit online dating sites

Android users are more likely to be agreeable and open

Our phones may have been a big part of our lives that it now becomes a mini version of ourselves. Regardless whether the findings are agreeable or not, it’s interesting to know that every decision, even the phones we prefer is a reflection of who we are.

Win in Life! The importance of reading in every life stage

Win in Life! The importance of reading in every life stage

I am not a reader.

Many people claim this statement as if it’s an honor badge or a title. However, a lot of us miss many things when we decide upon ourselves to avoid reading. Reading is both an art and a science, and it is sad to know that a lot of us lost this wonderful opportunity to learn, to grow and to be inspired by the value of reading.

There is more to reading than words and here are some of the very important reasons why you should learn to read, no matter how young or old you are:

Benefits of reading for children

Getting your children to love reading will reap so many benefits in the future. It is said that a child who reads will have a greater chance of becoming achievers and will also help build their emotional well being. Want some specifics? Here are some of the things your child may get if he learns to love reading:

  • Increase in vocabulary – Reading is about understanding. If you read and did not understand anything, then you did not read, you just wasted time. When children read, they learn to understand and they are exposed to new words. This means that their vocabulary widens and so is their understanding.
  • It helps with their understanding of the world – Depending on the books you wanted them to read, children can learn not only from you but from the books they read what is right and what is wrong.
  • Creativity blossoms when you read – There is a saying which states that reading takes you to places without moving a single inch. Children who reads are more imaginative and this helps their brain develop better and faster.
Benefits of reading for students

Not only does reading makes you pass your subjects, but students that enjoys reading enjoys the following benefits as well:

  • Reading helps in maturity – Reading takes time and today where people want things instantly, learning how to read develops your personality more than ever. It teaches the value of patience which is an attitude of successful and mature people.
  • Continuous learning – Asides from textbooks, students who read fiction and nonfiction books learn more about history, culture and many other things that universities do not even talk about.
  • Fluency in language – Reading a lot in a certain language, English for example will help students to become better at writing and also in speaking. Exposure to books not only entertains but also educates.
Benefits of reading for professionals

One of the saddest realities is that most professionals do not open books after they graduate college. However, after you graduate is the time when you need to take command of your learning. Here is how reading gives you the best chance for success:

  • Successful people has a habit of reading – Successful people like Warren Buffet and Mark Cuban attributes reading as one of their key to success, here are some quotes from them:
  • Mark Cuban – I read every book and magazine I could. Heck, three bucks for a magazine, twenty bucks for a book. One good idea would lead to a customer or a solution, and those magazines and books paid for themselves many times over. Some of the ideas I read were good, some not. In doing all the reading I learned a valuable lesson. Most people won’t put in the time to get a knowledge advantage. Sure, there were folks that worked hard at picking up every bit of information that they could, but we were few and far between.
  • Warren Buffet – Read 500 pages like this (holding a stack of paper) every day. That’s how knowledge works. It builds up, like compound interest. All of you can do it, but I guarantee not many of you will.
  • Books are mentors to help you succeed – People who are successful in life are in demand most of the time. They do talks, they write books and they do a lot of important stuff. Which is why it’s virtually impossible to get a hold of them and learn from them. However, because of books – you now have access to their learning. It’s like being mentored by a lot of people, at your own pace, at your own time.
  • Leaders are readers – There is an unspoken rule that you cannot give what you do not have. But since we are all limited in experience and we can’t be everywhere all the time, our skills can be limited. But that is where reading comes into play. Reading helps you bridge the gap between what you know and what you don’t. If you want to lead better, read better – not only for your benefit, but for the people you are going to impact.
Benefits of reading for adults

Parents, grandparents and the other mature people are exempted, right? The answer is no. Reading is still vital even if you are advanced in years.

  • For parents –
  • Parents are the children’s first educators. They will constantly ask for your advice and will always seek you in times of trouble. Learning to read and loving to read will help you become a better parent, a trustworthy friend and a wise counselor for your child.
  • Parents help their children build reading habits. If you love to read, your child in some way would be interested in what you love to do and what we teach them during their childhood will stick to them for the rest of their life. We model what we want our children to become.
  • For older adults
  • Reading provides mental exercise – Exercising your brain will help you lower the risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s.

Reading is both an art and science – Readiscover yourself, level up and learn through the pages.

It’s More Than Words: How Our Words Deeply Affects People

It’s More Than Words: How Our Words Deeply Affects People

The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. – Proverbs 18:21

Words have meaning – and those meanings can either be negative or positive, not only on what was said but on how it
was said. I still remember vividly the jokes made on me by friends’ way back in elementary, and I am sure most of us
remember words spoken to us during childhood too. Words that encourage, words that inspire or even words that kill
dreams, and even sometimes kill lives.

Before I continue with how words affect us all, let’s watch this powerful video that further explains how our words affects
the reality of others:

If you haven’t watched the video, please see it first. This campaign made by The Center for Psychological Research in
Shenyang and Ogilvy & Mather, Beijing showed how verbal abuse have detrimental effects especially on children.
This video reveals a very important principle that we all must learn especially inside our homes:

We must understand that we are accountable for every word that comes out of our mouth

Once words are spoken, they can be forgiven but they cannot be forgotten. That is why we need to measure the words we speak even before it leaves us. Because we can unleash hell to someone with the words we speak.

Inside the home, this can be magnified. Because of our familiarity with each other, we can sometimes think that our words are okay even if they are not.

  •  It was just a joke.
  •  It was the truth and I had to tell it.

The cliché is true, the pen is mightier than the sword. To take it further, words can wound than swords and that’s why we
need to be careful. It can destroy relationships, careers and lives. But the good news is we can all change. Here are some
of the things to consider whenever we speak to someone:

T.H.I.N.K before you speak.

T (TRUE) – Gossip can kill reputation as fast as a bullet. Before we even come to say something about a person, we
must first ask ourselves, am I going to say something that is true? Are there sources, witnesses or cold facts that will
support what I say – or is it just a hearsay? In our society today, truth can sometimes be blind. Instead of researching,
we sometimes only rely to one news, one post and make a conclusion about a person or an incident. It’s best to measure
the truth before giving an opinion about it.

H (HELPFUL) – Will our words help or will it only worsen a bad situation? There is a time for everything, and according
to another biblical proverb, there is a time to be silent. Regardless of how we think we are right, there are some words
that we shouldn’t say to people. But on the other hand, there are also words that we need to speak even if it hurts, so
that a person can be healed. It is important to know which is which.

I (INSPIRE) – Our words have meaning and we need to make them count. Whenever we speak to someone, let’s be
intentional on making our words mean to them and make them see life from a better perspective. The world is already
hurting, and we need lips that promotes and inspires.

N (NECESSARY) – We need to exercise prudence if we want to speak with an impact. There are people who say a lot,
but doesn’t really say anything at all. And then there are some, who speaks just a single word, and yet they know it is the
word that is needed the most.

K (KIND) – Kind words today are like precious gold. They are not easily given, and they are not easily received. Resolve
to be kind in the way you speak. You may not realize it however, but the truth is that a person can forget what you’ve
said, but they will always remember how you made them feel.

Takeaway:
The words we speak is a revelation of our heart. That is why it is important to guard our hearts. THINK before you speak!

How To Relax Your Minions

How To Relax Your Minions

Your Minions

I’ve attended an event with my 2yr old and 4yr old and had a chance to meet again my childhood or I may consider babyhood friend (because we’ve known each other literally since we were babies!). It’s been more than 10years since we last saw each other and now each of us has kids already. Time really flies so fast that now we already have our own families and our own minions – – carbon-copy little creatures.  Our kids has a lot of resemblance from us that we had a glimpse of what we looked like some 25 years ago.
We had a little catch up while our kids played together.  They were so active that we can’t even imagine where their energies were coming from. We remembered  the days where we used to play outside our houses,  running around till we get tired. But these kids today are superb. They are tireless!

To some parents with kids the same age range as mine, (especially to full-time moms like me) I know you will totally agree. Once they get up in the morning,  it’s an “are you ready to rumble?” kind of day!  It’s pretty exhausting yet kids learn more as they play more. They get to know themselves and their capabilities better when they play.  So though it’s draining for me, (apparently not for them) even just to watch them play,  I let them.  I just make sure that at the end of the day,  we have our own  “Q.T. Kids Edition” (Quality Time) to know how beautiful (and tiring! ) their day went. 🙂

Moreover,  I make sure that we have our “Oleia time” every bedtime. It’s been a practice already & became a part of their day. Before we totally close the lights to sleep,  my little 2yr old boy will sing “(O)Leia… (O)Leia..”  which  signals that we have to call it a day and it’s time for an Oleia massage. They like it when I do the “i love you massage” on their tummies and when I apply it on their little and fragile arms and legs. They love the Lavander scent too!
Oleia Topical oil is a blessing for my whole family.  These super energetic and vibrant kids may seem to need no rest,  but I will share with you a secret my kids tell me during our QT, the truth is, they get worn-out,  too!
But Oleia oil relaxes them at night and gives them a very sound goodnight sleep. One of the reasons why they wake up happy,  well-rested and ready to rumble again! 🙂
