” Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. “
This statement summarizes what people believe about beauty. That beauty, is defined by the outsiders looking in. Some people see beauty in simplicity, while some in extravagance. However, what does being beautiful really mean? Is being beautiful important and if it is, would anyone survive without it?
The Merriam-Webster defines beauty as a particularly graceful, ornamental, or excellent quality. I believe that this statement catches a subjective reality that all of us face. No one knows who really defines beauty, what is graceful, ornamental and excellent to you may be different to other people. What is beautiful today, may be ugly the next hour, day or year.
If you’re going to ask me, my kind of beauty is the one that cannot be seen by the naked eyes. It is more than fashion, and it is more than trends. It is health. Health is something that most of us pay less attention to, however, it is an important piece in the beauty puzzle. A person who is healthy on the inside, will undeniably show beauty on the outside. Ever heard of the saying “You are who you eat”. Yes, it is true, and it’s sad that a lot of us know it yet do not lift our fingers to change it.
Protecting your beauty might as well be called as taking care of your health. There are a lot of studies that show that people who eat healthy, maintain an active lifestyle and constantly take care of their bodies are those who look 5 – 10 years younger than their true age. That is a fact, and no make up can ever cover that up. That is why it’s important for us to be knowledgeable in the things we put inside our body, even medicines.
Medicines are beneficial, I cannot imagine how we can survive thousand of years living in this world without the help of scientific advancements in the field of medicine. However, as there are no perfect drug, some medicines, usually those that treat inflammation and pains actually does more harm than good.
That is why for me, I prefer to use Oleia Topical Oil for my headaches, and other body pain to make sure that I am able to still take care of my pain the natural way.
True beauty comes from the inside. Protect your body, and it will give you a long life and a beauty that may as well last forever.
